Angel Frost Arrangement
Angel Frost revs up the sparkle
For extra sparkle this year we have our new Angel Frost arrangement. Classic red poinsettias are the heavy hitters here, enhanced by sparkling silvered Cyperus grass. It’s a simple combination that’s strikingly festive—the glistening silver makes the brilliant red pop.
Now, Angel Frost is an extra large arrangement—the largest one that we make. We designed it as a floor display to generously fill an open space area. It rises about waste high, or roughly 32–36 inches tall.
Green is under there somewhere
Underneath that twinkling Cyperus you’ll find a broad canopy of color that drapes right over the edges. We can hardly see the green on this one—it’s all red and silver. As a focal point in a lobby or atrium our lush Angel Frost arrangement makes a bold statement, and that statement is: the holidays are here!
Beautiful Angel Frost is available in the 14-inch round or 24-inch long rectangular planter.

Red and white are the VIPs (Very Important Poinsettias) of holiday décor and pink is right behind them. We like pink—it lightens the mood and takes a design in a subtler, slightly exotic direction. A unique color at this time of year makes a difference; it heightens the interest in a display when the goal is to stand out from the classic crowd.

White has always been an important poinsettia color for us—it’s our second biggest seller behind red. Interestingly, the white version outsells the next most popular shade—pink—by four times, reliably. Classic white puts on a festive show alone or as a stylish neutral complement to our wide range of red, pink, burgundy, and art-style varieties.
At Long Last
Our Display Gardens—still in color last week
Here we are at the end of October and our most frequently asked question is: “What stays in bloom the longest?”
For the answer we turned to our educational Display Gardens. These experimental beds allow us to monitor plants in a variety of different growing situations, including those plants that stay in color all the way to frost’s bitter end. These are some photos we took of the gardens just last week—they’ve turned up the following cultivars that are still blooming as hard as they did at the peak of summer:

At Diefenbacher we take pride in our quality poinsettias. We find great satisfaction in growing large, lush plants that look beautiful for the holidays and beyond. It’s taken years of hard work and close attention to come up with our growing strategy and every year we hone our skills a bit more.
