Autumn has a rush season, just like spring. It’s not as big and frenzied, but buyers are stocking up their inventories for the autumn holidays that are around the corner. Most buyers look at the next few months as relentlessly boring, garden-wise: it’s mums, mums, mums, and more mums.
SUNFLOWERS FOR SUMMER & AUTUMN
Sunflowers are very effective at bridging the gap between summer and autumn. They perform well in the heat, yet they don’t mind the cool nights later in the season. While the flowers have a late summer look, sunflowers are also associated with the harvest. We specialize in the dwarf varieties that stay in bloom for a long time, so they have lasting retail shelf life and a strong display performance. Our sunflowers are available in 8-inch pots.

Our second speaker is Pam Bennett, who works with the Ohio State University Extension. Pam will be presenting recent research from the OSU Field Trials, where they tested over 200 plants for low maintenance under a variety of conditions.
