We recommend training these long, thin cukes on a trellis

We now offer six varieties of cucumbers, with our newest being ‘Telegraph English’.  It has long, thin fruits that average about 15–18 inches in length. To keep them growing straight instead of curling we recommend growing the plant vertically and training it on a trellis or netting.

Classic blue and yellow is always in demand

‘Endurio Blue Yellow with Purple Wing’ outsold all of our Sorbet varieties last year and we can’t say we didn’t see it coming. This classic combination of blue and yellow hits all the marks: elegant subtle blue with gentle yellow overtones, and just the right touch of bold purple in the streaks and wing to punch up the drama. It takes customers on a sentimental journey.

Lush color coverage on a par with ‘Sorbet XP Yellow’

Another reason for its popularity lies in the color coverage—on a par with ‘Sorbet XP Yellow’, the industry standard. Endurio has more lateral branching than other upright violas so it fills in quickly. It also flowers earlier and longer, with a lush flower canopy over the top of the plant.

Even when the days get shorter come fall Endurio keeps the show going. Plants overwinter nicely and stand up to the extreme weather conditions of rain, snow, and wind. If the winter is mild enough they’ll even last through a light covering of snow. They adapt easily to a variety of uses, from trailing neatly out of baskets and bowls to flowing color through the landscape when planted en masse.

‘Jurassic Red Splash’ makes an impression in deep shade

We’ve added ‘Red Splash’ to our Jurassic series of rex Begonias. These plants are all about the foliage—large leaves have bold color patterns with unusual veining and puckering to make them truly unique. Our newest variety fits right in with the prehistoric motif. 

Each deep red leaf has a wide silver-green band spotted with red that’s located close to the edge. Like all the plants in the Jurassic series ‘Red Splash’ was bred to be vigorous and continues to mound as it grows. This is another eye-catching selection we keep in the design toolbox to bring low-maintenance texture and vibrant color to areas of deep shade.
