Osteospermum Serenity Series
‘Serenity Rose Magic’
Look at all these beautiful daisy flowers—sure-fire color. You’ll often hear them called African daisies or Cape daisies because they originally came from South Africa. Osteospermum thrives in the hot, dry sun of high summer and goes on to be one of the longest flowering plants in the landscape, lasting all the way into October. If it looks like it’s wilting in the heat, just wait until the next rain; these plants perk right back up in short order. They also tolerate frost.
We grow the Serenity series for its drought tolerance and for its vigorous, mounding habit—notice how lush and full the foliage is under all those daisies. You can expect the plants to be covered with flowers —new blooms just keep covering the old ones. You don’t even need to deadhead.
Two of our Serenity varieties have an interesting trait in common—they’re Magic: as their flowers fully open, the colors change. That’s some serious wow factor for a plant that’s already a great value—add it to the design tool box.
