Remember: for the landscaping business petunias provide a great source of supplemental income—the splash of vibrant color makes a property more appealing with very little effort. Petunias are consistently popular with clients and are useful for freshening up designs throughout the season. We offer a continuous supply grown fresh all summer long, in a wide assortment of colors and types.

We want to urge trade buyers to sign up for the March 10th seminar at the Cincinnati Zoo. This meeting will review the new plant brand, Zoo’s Best. The focus will be on the annuals and perennials in the Pollinator Series, the marketing and awareness efforts, the good works the program supports, and how you can get involved.

Here in Cincinnati the high summer heat presents a challenge when it comes to landscape design. Lantana is one of our standard go-to crops for bright, tropical color that thrives in extreme heat, humidity, and drought; it also bounces back quickly from rainstorms and other stressful weather conditions. Plus we like the fact that it’s extremely low-maintenance—simply an all-around good plant to keep in the ol’ design tool box. 

Among lantanas the Landmark™ series is the standard-bearer, with mounds of dark green foliage topped by vibrant flower clusters all summer long. We’ve come to rely on its consistent vigor when we need a plant that will fill a space quickly, with a nice, full canopy of color. This year we’ve added another stunning shade to our line of Landmark™ lantana: ‘Sunrise Rose’. How do you like these hot pink and deep yellow flower clusters?

We like to use this striking variety en masse in a large, sunny bed, but it looks great in oversized planters, too.
