‘Sapphire Blue Chip’ out-blooms all the others

Look at all the big 2-inch blooms—these little plants are practically covered with them. Yet somehow they hold up and keep their tidy, mounded appearance—that’s why we grow the Sapphire series. It out-blooms all the others—as a matter of fact, it’s probably the heaviest blooming lisianthus series on the market.

‘Ladyslippers^® Pinot’ is larger but still dainty and refined

Also known as Cape primrose, this pretty plant is a relative of the African violet. We like the brilliant rose-colored blooms—they’re a bit larger than other streptocarpus flowers but still dainty and refined. ‘Pinot’ will bloom all summer, or continuously for months if grown indoors.

Like the African violet, this selection is best grown in part to full shade—the hot sun can burn the leaves and fade the flowers. ‘Pinot’ also prefers temperatures above 65°F. It forms an attractive mound and grows about 6–12 inches tall.

We use this variety as an accent plant and for elegant combination baskets. It works well in patio pots, too, as long as they’re not placed in direct sun.

Beauty Yellow’ blooms nonstop all season long

It’s a beauty all right—we’ve added this variety to our line of Marguerite daisies for spring. These pretty flowers bloom nonstop all season long and add a bit of old-fashioned charm to the landscape.

A sun and heat lover, ‘Beauty Yellow’ grows about 12–30 inches tall with a nice, upright habit. It spreads about 12–24 inches and never needs deadheading.

We use this classic variety for sunny mixed borders and rock gardens. It’s great for brightening mixed combinations and performs well in all kinds of containers.
