Crazytunias—New for Fall

FN 1.1 WFL Crazytunia Star Jubilee 42043 Ampel RGB
Shake up fall décor

Breeders from Westflowers have been getting creative and as a result we have our new Crazytunias for fall. This unique series offers dramatic flower colors and patterns—kind of a wild spin on the novelty petunia. We like to shake things up when it comes to autumn décor, especially during the lead up to Halloween—and these crazy petunias are sure to turn some heads.

Plant now—they’ll carry through to fall

Robust Crazytunias have been bred to withstand extreme weather, including heat, heavy rains, and wind. That means you can use them right now to add interest to patio pots and combinations for summer, and they’ll carry you right on through to the end of fall with no worries.

These petunias are vigorous—they grow quickly and crank out the funky flowers all summer long, performing strongly in full to partial sun.

We have two eye-catching varieties that work equally well with summer or autumn color schemes:

FN 1.2 petunia crazytunia star jubilee img 7570
‘Star Jubilee’

‘Star Jubilee’ has purple flowers that are so dark they appear to be black, with a prominent cheery yellow star smack dab in the center of each one—it’s striking. This variety has a semi-trailing habit, so the unusual blooms spill gracefully out of hanging baskets and window boxes.

FN 1.4 Mandeville 8825292652574
‘Mandeville’

‘Mandeville’ has bright red flowers streaked with yellow for a fiery, glowing effect. If you look closely you can see hints of orange, brown, and even some smoky black. These flowers are slightly larger, and the habit is more upright, for a unique addition to the border or to bring warmth to containers of all types.

Now, I hear that those innovative breeders are just getting started with this series so we expect to see more unusual specimens in the future.

Both of our Crazytunia selections are available in the 4.5-inch pot.
